Monitor Tech

Join an organization that invests in you as a Monitor Tech at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. HCA Healthcare has committed up to 300 million in programs to support our incredible team members over the course of three years.

We are looking for a dedicated Monitor Tech to be a part of our team. As our Monitor Tech, you will perform a variety of duties including EKG monitoring and interpretation, compiling, transcribing, preparing and maintaining records for your unit. You will also provide information and communication services to visitors and staff and assist nursing staff in maintaining efficient operations on the unit.

Your tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Interpreting rhythms and arrhythmias
  • Reporting all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff
  • Maintaining telemetry supplies
  • Recording patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems
  • Performing duties with full understanding of related age specific factors
  • Orienting and mentoring new staff members
  • Following standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required

Qualifications:

  • BLS Healthcare Provider
  • Completion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia course. Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • CMT/Cardiac Experience Preferred
  • Experience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting preferred
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
