Job description

Job Title: Monitor Tech
Department: Imaging
Location: Massena Hospital
Hours Per Week: 16
Schedule:3:30 pm - 11:30 pm; Every other weekend
SUMMARY:

As a Monitor Tech at Massena Hospital, you'll play an important role in patient care by keeping a close watch on heart rhythms in the ICU and for telemetry patients. You'll work closely with the care team, reporting any changes or concerns right away to help keep patients safe. In this role, you'll also assist with equipment troubleshooting, communicate with Biomed when needed, and provide clear handoffs to the next shift. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team while contributing directly to patient well-being.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor ECG patterns in the Intensive Care Unit

  • Monitor rhythms for telemetry patients

  • Report monitor or Central Information Center malfunctions to the ICU Director and Charge Nurse; coordinate with Biomed as needed

  • Communicate rhythm patterns of all patients to the oncoming shift

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent communication skills

  • ECG course to be completed once employed, prior to independent assignment

PAY RANGE:

$18.10 - $25.72

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
