Job description

SUMMARY:

A Print Project Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of printed materials—from briefing and prepress through production to final delivery. They act as the central liaison between clients, graphic design, the Production, Print, and Customer Success Teams and external vendors to ensure jobs are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.


PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES:

Soft Skills- Exceptional organizational abilities, and the ability to resolve project issues with machinery, supplies, design and other unforeseen roadblocks, under tight deadlines. Personally maintain a positive professional presence with a strong customer service attitude, even under pressure.


PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

End-to-End Management- Track and manage multiple concurrent print projects (e.g., large format, digital, offset, packaging) from concept to final shipment/delivery.


Client & Account Collaboration- Serve as the primary point of contact for external and internal clients, answering inquiries, providing updates, and resolving order discrepancies.

Estimating & Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates, negotiate prices with external vendors, and create purchase orders while adhering to financial margins.


Prepress & Quality Control- Review and inspect artwork, manage the proofing process, and ensure all specifications (paper weight, ink colors, page sizes) meet quality standards and client specifications.


Scheduling & Workflow- Coordinate production schedules with internal teams and outside vendors to maximize efficiency and hit strict delivery deadlines.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Industry Experience- 2-3+ years of proven experience in print, publishing, or direct mail industries.

Technical Proficiency- Strong working knowledge of print production workflows, prepress requirements, and standard materials.

Software Skills- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Print Management Information Systems (MIS) or CRM software. Printers Plan experience is a plus.


REPORTS:

· This position directly reports to the VP of Print and the Print Manager

· This position interacts with the Finance Manager in relation to accounting support activities and purchasing.

· This position has no direct reports.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position requires working at a computer, workstation, operating print machinery, sitting or standing for long periods of time, in a warehouse or office environment.
  • This position requires medium-to-heavy physical labor.
  • Work in person in our physical warehouse/office is required.
