Looking for a rewarding career? Join the Duraflake team as a Maintenance Electrician!

We are seeking Maintenance Electricians to join our Duraflake wood products mill. These roles offer an hourly rate of $42.82 - $53.00, together with a competitive benefits package, with additional details below based on specialized roles:

Dayshift Maintenance Electricians (Plant Journeyman or Journeyman preferred)

  • Base hourly rate ranging from $46.55 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. Additional earning potential includes profit share/gain share opportunities. The dayshift schedule offers excellent work–life balance, with 10-hour shifts Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday.

Shift Maintenance Electricians (Plant Journeyman or Journeyman preferred)

  • Base hourly rate ranging from $46.55 to $50.00 per hour, with an additional $3.00 per hour shift differential ($49.55-$53.00) when assigned to the rotating shift schedule, along with profit share/gain share opportunities. The rotating shift follows a 12-hour schedule, alternating between days and nights every two weeks (7:00–7:00) on a 2-2-3 rotation.

 

LME Shift Maintenance Electricians 

 

  • Base hourly rate of $42.82 per hour, with an additional $3.00 per hour shift differential ($45.82) when assigned to the rotating shift schedule, along with profit share and gain share opportunities. This position includes a structured training and development path, with multiple skill levels employees can progress through over time, as they complete training milestones and demonstrate increased technical capability.

What We’re Looking For:

 Knowledge:

  • Oregon Electrician’s license required (Plant Journeyman or Journeyman preferred) or license from a reciprocal state (OR, WA, ID, WY, MN, UT, ME, AR)
  • LME candidates will be considered, based on level of experience

Basic Experience:

  • AC & DC motor control experience (including drives) required.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience required.
  • Ability to use standard test and troubleshooting equipment (DMM, VOM, Megger, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot with PLC’s (Allen Bradley Control Logix).
  • Strong industrial mechanical millwright experience/skills preferred. Must be willing to perform millwright duties as part of their regular job duties.
  • Familiarity with the basic functions of a CMMS system preferred.

Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Proven ability to be a self-motivated and a self-starter
  • Ability to work extended hours and rotating shift as required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment
  • Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects
  • Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
