Joint Military Planner
On Site | Offutt AFB Bellevue Nebraska | TS/SCI Required
Why This Role Exists

D amp;G is seeking a Joint Military Planner to support high-level defense planning efforts. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Department of War military operations and strategic planning at senior headquarters levels. The selected candidate will provide expert-level planning support, contribute to operational design, and assist senior leaders in translating strategic guidance into executable plans.
What You Will Do
  • Lead and support development of operational plans and planning products.
  • Translate strategic guidance into executable operational approaches and courses of action.
  • Apply the Joint Planning Process (JPP/JOPP) to develop operational plans, campaign plans, OPLANs, and CONPLANs.
  • Support joint and senior-level planning forums.
  • Coordinate across headquarters elements to synchronize planning efforts.
  • Develop briefs, planning documents, and decision support materials for senior leaders.
  • Provide expert advice on operational design, force employment, and mission execution.
  • Brief General Officer (GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) leadership in executive-level decision forums.
What We Are Looking For
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working on the Office of the Secretary of War and/or Joint Staff in the operations, plans, policy, strategy, assessments, and/or exercise fields.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the Department of War with the National Military Strategy, National Defense Strategy, Consolidated Strategic Opportunities, Global Campaign Plans, and CCMD campaign plans, ensuring alignment with national defense objectives.
  • Experience required in Joint and/or Combined operations and operations planning and/or strategic planning, mission analysis.
  • Joint Professional Military Education Phase 2 graduate or equivalent.
Clearance and Eligibility
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
