Job Description

Job Title: Microsoft Systems Engineer

Location: Washington, DC

Contract Length: 3 months +

The hiring manager works as the infrastructure manager and is aware what the market offers for years of experience

Top Skills:

5-7 years' experience (there is no room for ramp up time);

MCSE 2008 or higher, if not needs 7 years of experience);

3 years' experience with system management tool such as Big Fix of SCCM;

PowerShell Scripting (must be able to automate some of the functions);

Group Policy Administration; COMMUNICATION (8/10+); I will also be completing 1 manager reference prior to submission due to the speed of hire.

***Candidates must pass a 10 year federal, state, and county background check. There is also an employment verification that will also need to be verified for the past 3 roles or 10 years of employment. If they are unable to complete any of the following criteria they will not be submitted for consideration.

What they will be doing:

Creating Baseline Golden Images

o A golden image is a template for a virtual machine (VM), virtual desktop, server or hard disk drive. A golden image may also be referred to as a clone image, master image or base image.

Responding to security and scan and compliance reports by hardening the operating system as designated following HIPPA guidelines

Developing functional process diagrams for Windows client/server services

Providing Windows administration support focusing on the design, implementation and maintenance of Windows client/server services

Developing comprehensive test cases to include testing scenarios for both normal and degraded (e.g., disaster recovery, continuity of operations, data recovery/spills, etc.) operations, pass/fail criteria, performance criteria, capacity planning, measurement criteria, results analysis procedures, and results/status reporting criteria

Supporting the installation of new Windows client/server services components, if required
