JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the
Microsoft 365 security platform. This position requires expert-level knowledge of Entra/Azure
Active Directory Premium, Defender for Office 365, Azure Information Protection, Defender for
Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, Data Loss Prevention, and Conditional Access. The Security Architect has experience in designing and implementing complex security solutions and should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
• Required Minimum Training: Graduation from a four-year college or university or equivalent training and experience in the field of work related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Expert-level knowledge of Entra/Azure Active Directory Premium, Defender for Office
365, Azure Information Protection, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, Data Loss Prevention, and Conditional Access.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
Professional Licenses/Certifications:
• Microsoft SC-100: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
• Microsoft SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
• Microsoft SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator
• Microsoft SC-400: Microsoft Information Protection Administrator
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Implement and configure Entra/Azure Active Directory Premium, Defender for Office 365,
Azure Information Protection, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, Data Loss Prevention, and Conditional Access based on
• Develop detailed project plans, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications for security platform implementation
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and team members on M365 Security solutions
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the security architecture integrates effectively with the overall IT infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies and make recommendations for enhancements to security engagements.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing and training sessions for team members and agency employees
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and agency employees in a fast-paced environment
• Stay up-to-date with current and future platform advancements through continuous learning opportunities
