JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Machine Operator


General Purpose:

Under limited supervision, operates machinery and uses various processes and equipment to fabricate, manufacture, or move wood and metal products while meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards. Performs set ups, follows written instructions, and reads drawing specifications for multiple types of machinery.

Essential Functions:

  • Following Standard Work Instructions, operates multiple types of production machines involving close tolerances, and set-ups of parts of irregular shapes.
  • Reads and interprets dimensions and other information from all types of drawings.
  • Completes daily and necessary paperwork.
  • Consistently performs quality checks by utilizing measurement tools and devices such as tape rulers, gauges and/or calipers.
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment according to 5S and department safety guidelines.
