Title of role: Merchandise Planning Analyst
Location: New York or Boston; Hybrid (2 days in the office required)
Approved Salary Range: $50,000- $55,000
About the Role:
As a Planning Analyst you will utilize data analysis to optimize category merchandising performance, maximize sales and contribute to the overall success of the merchandise strategies and achievement of KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze historical performance to inform future action and strategies and capitalize on future opportunities for success.
- Develop an understanding of key performance metrics, such as gross demand, gross margin profit and inventory productivity.
- Provide analytical support to the Merchandise Planning team, contributing to effective decision-making and the overall success of the merchandise planning strategies.
- Track and evaluate the financial performance of merchandise categories against established KPI's.
- Organize and prioritize workload for self to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Organize, maintain, and track the in-season event frameworks, supporting the overall operations of the business.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within merchandise planning.
- Foster a collaborative culture within the planning team.
- Actively participate in self-development.
- Build and foster effective relationships with Merchandising, Programing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of Merchandising strategies to support overall business objectives.
Experience and Background Needed:
- An effective communicator who loves to collaborate with others.
- Ability to adapt well to changes in direction and priorities in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 0-2 years' experience: internships and co-ops are welcome.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable with reporting tools.
