Position Description:
Begin your journey in the vital field of health information management as a Medical Records Technician at AICA Orthopedics. In this role, you'll be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of sensitive patient information, ensuring its confidentiality and accessibility.
You'll gain valuable experience with our state-of-the-art electronic health record system, and your work will directly impact patient care by ensuring timely access to critical medical information. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with a strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare.
What You'll Do:
Ensure Accurate and Efficient Record Keeping: Oversee the filing, auditing, and production of medical records, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and organization. Process release of information requests promptly and efficiently, validating authorizations and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Safeguard Patient Privacy: Protect confidential patient information, ensuring only authorized individuals have access. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and other relevant state and federal regulations.
Support Seamless Information Flow: Collaborate with attorneys and other external parties, following up on requests, providing accurate information, and ensuring timely delivery of medical records and bills.
Contribute to Successful Collections: Update patient accounts with current and accurate information, facilitating the collections process.
Maintain a Highly Organized System: Manage a high volume of medical records, ensuring they are properly filed, scanned, and readily accessible. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Respond to inquiries regarding medical records with accuracy and professionalism, providing excellent customer service.
Continuously Improve Processes: Generate ideas and contribute to the ongoing improvement of medical records processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
