Our Measurement team is seeking a dedicated Measurement Analyst to join us. This role will report to the Automation, Electrical, and Measurement Superintendent and work directly with the Measurement Foreman. The Measurement Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely measurement of production data, utilizing FlowCal software for validation and analysis. Key responsibilities include scheduling measurement activities, collaborating with production accounting teams, and working closely with field technicians to maintain data integrity and compliance with industry standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Measurement and Analysis:

  • Utilize FlowCal software to validate and analyze production data.

  • Ensure accurate measurement of oil, gas, and water production volumes.

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in measurement data.

  • Work with third party vendors to manage data and documentation of calibrations and inspections.

Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain schedules for measurement activities.

  • Coordinate with field technicians to ensure timely data collection and reporting.

  • Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate operational changes and priorities.

  • Work with internal technicians and third party vendors/contractors on scheduling of meters

Production Accounting:

  • Collaborate with production accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting of production volumes.

  • Provide measurement data and analysis to support accounting processes.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly production reports.

Field Technician Collaboration:

  • Work closely with field technicians to ensure proper installation, calibration, and maintenance of measurement equipment.

  • Provide training and support to field personnel on measurement procedures and best practices.

  • Conduct field visits to verify measurement accuracy and equipment functionality.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for measurement and reporting.

  • Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to regulatory agencies.

  • Maintain accurate records of measurement activities and data.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree and or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in measurement analysis, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

  • Proficiency in FlowCal software and other measurement tools.

  • Strong understanding of production accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with field technicians and production accounting teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with field measurement equipment and techniques.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for measurement and reporting.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is primarily office-based with occasional field visits. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Additionally, travel may be required to various field locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The Measurement Analyst position involves prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer or desk. Occasional travel to field locations is required, which may involve walking, standing, and navigating uneven terrain. The role demands manual dexterity for handling and operating measurement equipment and tools, as well as the ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Good visual acuity is necessary for reading data, analyzing reports, and inspecting equipment. Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with team members and field technicians.
