Job Summary
The Project Procurement Analyst is responsible for ensuring the efficient coordination of goods and services procurement for assigned projects within the capital project portfolio. This role ensures that project purchasing requisitions are accurately developed and submitted to sourcing teams in a timely manner. The position also provides support to the broader Project Procurement organization.

Project Procurement Specialist (Salary Grade 8)
What You'll Do:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with project teams for developing purchase requisition execution requirements.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on the enforcement of standards, policies, and procedures established by AEP Corporation and regulatory entities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to issue Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quote (RFQ), and create requisitions for materials and services.
  • Assist engineering, operations, and corporate services in selecting materials and services, keeping them informed of relevant new developments.
  • Coordinate the use of material, equipment, and service specifications for inclusion in purchase orders.
  • Gather data and conduct analysis to determine demand for materials and services, ensuring timely procurement at the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) to AEP.
  • Ensure all project-related material and service requisitions are routed to the appropriate supply chain sourcing teams for fulfillment.
  • Escalate project material and service demand issues as needed to support supply chain service level agreements with the project organization.
  • Ensure material supply and contracting plans account for appropriate lead times and delivery details to support effective tracking of project requirements, logistics, and expediting activities.
  • Identify and anticipate schedule delays or changes and assess potential cost, schedule, and resource impacts.

What We're Looking For:
Project Procurement Analyst (Salary Grade 6)
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field of study.
(Or) In lieu of Bachelor's degree must possess an Associate's degree in related field of study, and a minimum of 2 years' of relevant work experience.
(Or) In lieu of Associate's degree must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 4 years' of relevant work experience.
Project Procurement Consultant (Salary Grade 7)
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field of study and 2 years of relevant work experience.
(Or) In lieu of Bachelor's degree must possess an Associate's degree in related field of study, and a minimum of 4 years' of relevant work experience.
(Or) In lieu of Associate's degree must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 6 years' of relevant work experience.
Project Procurement Specialist (Salary Grade 8)
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field of study and 4 years of relevant work experience.
(Or) In lieu of Bachelor's degree must possess an Associate's degree in related field of study, and a minimum of 6 years' of relevant work experience.
(Or) In lieu of Associate's degree must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 8 years' of relevant work experience.
Additional Expectations:
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills desired.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) desired with an ability to communicate with business partners, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Understanding of procurement/strategic sourcing, project controls, accounts payable, work management and financial systems applications (e.g., SAP/Ariba) is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to measure, analyze, and understand complex business issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize the procurement process and a basic understanding of contract terms and conditions preferred.

Nice to have:
  • Experience with data analytics - able to take problems and utilize data to help solve.
  • Experience with PowerBI, Microsoft, Cognos, Maximo
  • Communications skills - experience communicating to internal and external stakeholders or leadership.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes or utility experience
  • Ability to develop basic and complex reporting based on job level.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse team.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and variable workflows.
  • Self-starter - willing to make improvements and learn independently when needed.

Expected Salary Range: $80,000.00-$90,000.00/Yr. (USD)

Expected Salary Range: $92,000.00-$102,000.00/Yr. (USD)
Project Procurement Specialist (Salary Grade 8)
Expected Salary Range: $105,000.00-$115,000.00/Yr. (USD)
