Summary of Job Duties:The MBA Alumni and Employer Engagement Lead plays a key role in building and sustaining a strong community around the Walton MBA programs. The primary responsibility of this role is to create pathways for alumni and employers to engage directly with Walton MBA students and one another.
The MBA Alumni and Employer Engagement Lead is responsible for cultivating and sustaining relationships with MBA alumni and employers to create meaningful engagement opportunities, professional connection, and shared value that supports student development and career outcomes. These relationships promote professional development and mentorship opportunities for students, leveraging the expertise and experience of alumni and employers.
The roles serves as a connector between alumni, employers, and the MBA programs, helping build a network of engaged professionals who contribute to and benefit from the Walton MBA community. This individual serves as a key liaison between the MBA Programs office and the business community and works closely with internal partners, including the MBA Recruiter, the MBA Career Coaches, the Career Connections Office, and the Walton College External Engagement teams, to align engagement efforts with students, programs, and college outcomes.
Regular, reliable, and in-person attendance is an essential job duty, along with the ability to foster collaborative and collegial working relationships across teams and partners. The position will require standard office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities to support alumni, employer, and student events.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.

  • At least three years of experience that demonstrates growth or increasing responsibility in relationship management or partnership development

  • Experience in building and sustaining professional relationships or partnerships that lead to tangible outcomes such as hiring, talent development, business growth, or program success

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Experience supporting or leading programs for early-career or high-potential professionals related to leadership development or talent pipeline initiatives

  • Experience planning, managing, and executing professional events, programs, or engagements involving external stakeholders

  • Experience using CRM systems, project management tools, or data platforms to track relationships, engagement, or outcomes

  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting the development of students, early-career professionals, or emerging leaders

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build strong, productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including alumni, employers, students, and cross-functional partners

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy, follow-through, and quality across communications, data, and program execution

  • Strong work ethic, with a commitment to taking initiative, following through on commitments, and consistently delivering results
