Job description

Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Medical Director to lead our Regional Maternal Fetal Medicine team located in West Michigan.

The Medical Director role will provide Physician leadership and oversight for our Maternal Fetal Medicine Service Line while collaborating with our Administrative & Clinical Director for Womens & Childrens Services in a dyad relationship alongside our OB/GYN Medical Directors for Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore. This exciting leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and enhance our Maternal Fetal program within a mission-driven organization dedicated to making a lasting impact on the communities that we serve.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Clinical Leadership: Oversee and lead Trinity Health Medical Group, Maternal Fetal Medicines service line ensuring the highest quality of care for complex maternal fetal cases.
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive and patient-centered care for individuals with high-risk pregnancies including diagnostic, consultative and management services while working closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with other administrative and clinical leadership to develop and enhance our Maternal Fetal Medicine program. The Medical Director will be responsible and accountable for assigned offices and programs in the West Michigan market for achievements around Quality, Service Excellence, Colleague Engagement, Stewardship, and financial goals.
  • Education and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to medical students and residents.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Minimum - 5 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine medical practice experience
  • Preferred - 2 years of experience in a leadership role or has completed training specific skills to work in the position
  • Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
  • State of Michigan license required at time of employment
  • DEA license
  • ACLS & BLS certified
