GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Equipment Master Scheduler works within Business Segment or Operations leadership to plan product planning requirements to manage sales and operations objectives. This position reviews the product model and business activity to meet customer requirements. This position will employ tools and communication to drive production schedule execution, while working closely with Engineering and Sales to anticipate changes needed fulfill business objectives with regard to lead-time, on-time delivery (OTD) and Inventory management levels. This position will identify consumable item demands as well, for ongoing support of the product lines. This position will ensure production and material planning is in place to support the customers and goals of the Equipment operation.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Monitors Sales and develops Production forecast, to satisfy production model across all product lines.

·         Monitor MRP demand tools, to ensure inventory demand in line with production planning and sales forecast. 

·         Creates production schedule that will support the production planning to supervision.

·         Reviews and initiates any expedites needed regarding material shortages to Purchasing Team.

·         Implements and manages Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in accordance with product integration objectives.

·         Monitor MRP exception messages in order to prevent impacts to the production schedule.

·         Acts as a liaison between Production, Purchasing, Engineering and Inventory Control to ensure that production schedules and delivery dates are met.

·         Suggests changes in working conditions or processes to increase efficiency of department and work force.

·         Reviews, analyzes, and takes necessary action of production variance reports.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Monitors Inventory Levels in WIP, FG and Main Stores for any changes or targeted levels.

·         Follows company policies and uses safe work practices in performing job responsibilities.

 EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor degree in related field plus 5+ years of production scheduling experience. Without a degree, must have 7+ years of planning and scheduling experience in manufacturing. APICS CPIM certification is strongly preferred, but not required.

BASIC SKILLS:

·         Demonstrates proficiency in the MRP/ERP software and understands system reporting functions.

·         Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

·         This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

·         This person must also possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and must be able to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization, as well as customers.

·         Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.

·         Speaks, reads and writes English.

·         Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

·         Possesses exceptional customer service skills.
