Job Description:  The Marketing Associate will be responsible for developing presentation materials, completing quarter-end marketing material updates, developing new investment product or strategy-level content, client-specific materials, thought leadership, and other marketing and distribution team-related initiatives. This role requires an ability to work independently and collaboratively with members of the Marketing team, Distribution team, Client Portfolio Managers, and other stakeholders within Barrow Hanley and Perpetual, our parent company.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare presentation materials and quarter-end updates, including investment product or strategy-level content, client-specific materials, thought leadership, and product-related marketing materials. Leverage third-party data automation systems to support consistent, accurate output.
  • Collaborate with Distribution/Sales team, Client Portfolio Managers, Client Service Associates, RFP team, and Compliance team members on current and prospective client materials, including finals presentations.
  • Manage the qualitative changes process as it relates to quarter-end and standard material updates.
  • Assist in maintaining Assette data automation to ensure accurate information and reporting outputs.
  • Manage in-house printing operations, ensuring timely and accurate production of documents.
  • Partner with the Compliance department to ensure materials and presentations follow current and changing regulations, including the SEC Marketing Rule.
  • Support sponsorship and conference opportunities and assist with coordinating internal distribution-related events, meetings, and marketing needs.
  • Manage relationship with external vendors to produce content on a consistent basis and promote accordingly via social media, email marketing, website updates, etc.
  • Research and manage branded merchandise orders.
  • Effectively prioritize and complete critical, time sensitive, and complex duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics or Business, or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • 3+ years of investment industry experience in marketing, client services, operations, sales, or portfolio management support.
  • Broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the investment management industry as well as knowledge of financial terminology and concepts a plus.
  • Highest level of integrity, regard for confidentiality, strong work ethic, ability to work independently but also effectively and collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, work effectively under pressure, and maintain accuracy, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Assette, FactSet, PEP, Bloomberg, and Salesforce strongly preferred.
