The Market Development Engineer will accelerate adoption of Qualcomm technologies by driving demand creation, enabling field execution, and improving Arrow's ability to identify, prioritize, and advance high-value opportunities.
This is a strategic market development position focused on influencing demand creation at scale rather than owning individual transactions. Success requires a unique blend of business development capability, technical credibility, and supplier engagement.
What You'll Be Doing:
Drive Demand Creation
  • Develop repeatable demand creation process and strategies that can be leveraged across the Arrow sales organization.
  • Engage customers early in their product development cycle to influence architecture decisions and position Qualcomm solutions.
  • Help expand Arrow's reach into customer segments where Qualcomm technologies are underrepresented today.

Build Strategic Relationships

  • Facilitate new FAE on-boarding for FAE's newly assigned to Qualcomm
  • Support key customer engagements that require additional market, supplier, or technical expertise.
  • Help teams navigate available ecosystem resources, partner solutions, development platforms, and supplier programs.

Manage and Inspect Opportunity Pipeline
  • Maintain visibility into the most significant Qualcomm opportunities across the assigned region.
  • Run a structured meeting cadence to share top opportunities and what is needed to win at both the Regional and local level including the Supplier, Arrow and the reps
  • Provide leadership with clear reporting regarding pipeline health, opportunity status, and demand creation activity.
  • Identify trends, execution gaps, and barriers that may be limiting opportunity conversion.

Supplier Alignment and Market Intelligence
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Qualcomm sales, technical, and business development organizations.
  • Communicate market feedback to both Arrow and Qualcomm leadership.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify emerging areas of opportunity.
  • Recommend strategic actions that improve Arrow's ability to grow Qualcomm-related business.

What We Are Looking For:
Business Development and Sales Skills
  • Strong sales and business development skills.
  • Ability to rapidly build trust and credibility with customers, sales professionals, engineers, and supplier personnel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong consultative selling and opportunity development capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to drive execution through influence rather than direct authority.

Technical Competencies
  • Working knowledge of embedded application processors and system-level architectures.
  • Experience supporting customers developing embedded or edge computing solutions.
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions with engineering teams and solution architects.
  • Understanding of operating systems, software ecosystems, wireless connectivity, AI at the edge, and embedded hardware platforms.
  • Ability to connect technical capabilities to customer business requirements and application needs.
  • Strong technical curiosity and a willingness to continuously learn emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in semiconductors, embedded computing, IoT, industrial automation, edge AI, or related markets.
  • Experience working with application processors, system-on-modules, or embedded computing platforms.
  • Proven track record of business development, demand creation, or technical sales success.
  • Experience working collaboratively with suppliers, sales organizations, and engineering teams.
