Job description

We are seeking an additional dedicated and enthusiastic on-site Customer Service Rep to join our small yet dynamic team. This position is available due to growth in our business. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our manufacturing customers, providing exceptional service and support. Your ability to communicate effectively and address customer inquiries will be essential in fostering strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customers and a knack for problem-solving. NO COLD CALLING INVOLVED, NO REMOTE OPTIONS, NO RELOCATIONS PLEASE

Responsibilities

  • Process new orders, check inventory, and provide product information.
  • Develop detailed quotes for all orders for existing and new clients. Showing specifications, quantities, unit pricing, cost breakdowns (including labor, materials, tooling, etc). Total costs will include all applicable taxes, warranties, delivery, discounts, etc.
  • Handle order processing, sample fulfillment, and detailed purchase order creation. Follow through with clients and all internal departments, including production.
  • Successfully handle all customer service issues that arise. Troubleshoot and conduct investigations, and research any issues clients might have with samples, orders, delivery, product quality, etc., and come to a successful resolution in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring a high level of service and problem resolution.
  • Answer phones as a team within the office.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team..
  • Utilize software tools, including Excel, to manage customer interactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Market products effectively by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Will learn to negotiate terms with customers when necessary to facilitate sales and enhance satisfaction.
  • Conduct follow-up communications to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any outstanding issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a customer service role within a manufactured product B2B company, preferring an industrial or packaging product.
  • Experience in a smaller team environment preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills. Collaborative, team player with leadership skills preferred.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office, including Excel.
  • Ability to learn specialized products effectively while maintaining a positive rapport with customers. Must be proactive and resourceful - not afraid to ask questions and have strong follow-through skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to handle objections gracefully.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
