POSITION: HIGH SCHOOL CONCESSIONS MANAGER

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Fingerprint/background screening required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in food safety or food management preferred.
  • Previous experience in food service management, retail, or customer service.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Basic accounting and cash handling skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The following statements of essential functions and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage all aspects of the concession stands, including setup, operation, and teardown.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health department regulations.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working condition and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast needs, and order supplies to meet demand without overstocking.
  • Keep accurate records of inventory and sales to track trends and adjust orders as needed.
  • Manage food, beverage, and supply costs to maximize profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers or part-time staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure all staff understand and comply with food safety, hygiene, and customer service standards.
  • Provide regular feedback and guidance to staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Handle cash, credit transactions, and sales reconciliations; ensure accurate financial records.
  • Prepare daily sales reports, track expenses, and submit financial data to district administration.
  • Implement cost-control measures and evaluate pricing strategies for products sold.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service by creating a welcoming environment for students, parents, and community members.
  • Address any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for events.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Exposure to a kitchen environment, including hot surfaces, sharp objects, and potentially noisy conditions.
