Join our Team!

We are a local non-profit organization serving children & adults with developmental disabilities. We are looking to fill a Full-time, salaried position to provide case management and coordination for individuals with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, many of whom receive Medicaid-funded waiver services. Activities include planning, linking, and service coordination, as well as monitoring of service provision.

Position requires:

  • The ability to organize, manage, and document complex services involving consumers, families, and private providers.
  • Candidates need the ability to work effectively with a varied range of ages and disability levels.
  • Requires knowledge of developmental disabilities and documentation procedures, and a working knowledge of client rights and local service systems.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in human services, plus one year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities, is required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Current Valid Driver's License Required
  • Current Car Insurance Required
  • Certification or training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is desirable, but can be obtained after being hired
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
  • Must be Alabama Medicaid Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) eligible

Experience:

  • Experience working directly with persons with Developmental Disabilities: 1 year (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services (Required)
