Job Title: CMI Manager UFS UKI

Business Function: Customer & Market Insights / Unilever Food Solutions

Location: Sunlight House, Kingston

Work-Level: 2A/2B

JOB PURPOSE

Unilever Food Solutions is the 2nd largest Business Unit of Unilever, one of the three Power brands of the Foods Business Group, and a global market leader in Food Service. UFS operates in over 76 countries and employs around 4,000 people, with a unique B2B business model focused on serving chefs and a purpose to free them to love what they do.

UFS has a bold ambition and strategy for 2030, focused on turnover and profitability growth through product superiority, leadership in AI-powered customer experience, and a winning culture. The business has a strong track record of resilient performance and aims to stay three steps ahead of the industry, including through initiatives such as the Future Menus Report, which identifies emerging culinary trends and inspires innovative solutions for chefs worldwide.

The CMI Manager UFS UKI/ANZ will lead the CMI agenda for UKI and ANZ. The role is pivotal in enabling CMI to be a Future Shaper by unleashing intelligent insights and foresights that shape the future of UFS and act as a catalyst for analytics-driven business decisions at global and local level.

As CMI Manager for UFS UKI and ANZ, you will be an insight leader, decision partner and growth driver, embedding human, market and data intelligence upstream into business decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will partner with Marketing Leadership Teams and cross-functional stakeholders to shape portfolio, pricing, innovation and growth decisions. This means translating human, market and data intelligence into clear strategic choices, embedding insight upstream in business processes, and ensuring decisions are linked to measurable commercial outcomes.

You will lead the end-to-end insight and foresight agenda, from human understanding and signal detection through to strategy and execution. By identifying emerging cultural, human and market shifts, you will convert foresight into actionable opportunities that guide short- and long-term growth, innovation and brand strategies.

You will build and evolve an always-on intelligence ecosystem that brings together structured and unstructured data sources, enabling faster, more connected and more self-serve decision-making across the business.

A key part of the role will be to leverage human-AI collaboration to improve the speed, scale and quality of insight generation. You will integrate AI responsibly across analysis, synthesis, storytelling and foresight, combining machine efficiency with human judgement.

You will shape breakthrough, multi-year innovation pipelines grounded in operator, chef and diner understanding, while strengthening brand superiority and connecting insights across the 6Ps to drive end-to-end growth.

You will support flagship UFS programmes such as Future Menus and play an active role in IBP and long-term strategic planning, ensuring foresight and intelligence are embedded into the core strategic agenda.

You will champion modern, agile insight methodologies, including AI-enabled approaches, and build Future Shaper capability across the organisation by co-creating tools, frameworks and ways of working with internal and external partners.

You will also represent CMI in UKI/ANZ and relevant leadership forums, while ensuring accurate forecasting and effective management of the CMI budget.

ALL ABOUT YOU

You will bring strong CMI, market research or business intelligence experience, with the ability to translate complex human, cultural, market and data signals into clear choices that drive business impact. You will be commercially sharp, comfortable working with qualitative, quantitative, digital and AI-enabled data sources, and confident influencing senior stakeholders across functions and markets.

You will be an impact-led insight leader with strong judgement, curiosity and ownership. You should be comfortable operating with ambiguity, challenging the status quo and simplifying complexity into compelling stories and decisions. A passion for food, customer focus, resilience and an entrepreneurial mindset will be important for success in this role.
