Job description

WHAT WE'RE DOING
Join the EADGE-T team and help modernize an integrated air and missile defense and air battle management capability for the United Arab Emirates. As part of the EADGE-T UAE Tech Refresh, you'll lead the modernization of the communications infrastructure supporting one of Lockheed Martin's premier international defense programs while collaborating directly with an international customer.
THE WORK
As a Senior Staff Network Communications Engineer, you'll serve as the network technical authority for the UAE Tech Refresh, leading the design, integration, security, and sustainment of mission-critical communications networks.
Working across systems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, and integration teams, you'll establish network architecture, define engineering standards, and guide technical decisions that ensure secure, resilient, and scalable network solutions from design through deployment.
PLEASE NOTE
  • This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
  • This position may require travel to customer sites throughout the United Arab Emirates.
  • This position may occasionally support integration and test events during overnight or weekend hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the technical authority for the communications network architecture, leading the development of secure, resilient, and scalable network solutions supporting mission-critical air and missile defense capabilities.

  • Lead the design, integration, and implementation of enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, server infrastructure, and WAN connectivity, while ensuring compliance with applicable DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Establish network engineering standards, infrastructure policies, and technical roadmaps covering Quality of Service (QoS), IP addressing, cybersecurity, encryption, authentication, network continuity, and monitoring.

  • Drive network performance, resiliency, and operational readiness through capacity planning, traffic engineering, proactive monitoring, and resolution of complex network and cybersecurity issues.

  • Champion Zero Trust architecture and cybersecurity best practices by implementing NIST 800-53 controls, network segmentation, centralized security management, and secure communications across multiple security domains.

  • Lead network automation and configuration management initiatives using modern automation frameworks and infrastructure-as-code methodologies to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.

  • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, customer engagements, engineering documentation, and mentorship of fellow engineers while serving as the program's network subject matter expert.
