Job description

Cochrane Toyota is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department and help drive continued growth in our Fixed Operations business.

We are looking for a strong leader and business builder who can develop a team, create accountability, support a busy Service Department, analyze performance, and identify opportunities to grow both our internal and external Parts business.

Toyota or Lexus experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with PBS as a DMS is preferred.

For the right candidate, relocation assistance is available.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a Parts team of approximately 5–6 employees

  • Create clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance and results

  • Build strong working relationships with Service, Sales, Used Vehicles, and other dealership departments

  • Ensure fast, accurate, and dependable Parts support for technicians and Service Advisors

  • Manage inventory levels, purchasing, special orders, returns, aging inventory, and obsolescence

  • Monitor Parts sales, gross profit, inventory performance, and overall departmental profitability

  • Use KPIs and departmental data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement

  • Identify opportunities to increase internal Parts sales

  • Develop and grow our wholesale and external Parts business

  • Build relationships with independent repair facilities, fleets, commercial customers, collision centres, and other wholesale accounts

  • Re-engage inactive customers and actively pursue new business opportunities

  • Establish measurable sales and growth targets for the department

  • Continuously improve departmental processes, efficiency, customer service, and profitability

The Right Person:

The right candidate will be someone who consistently asks:

  • Where can we improve?

  • How can we better support the shop?

  • How can we develop our people?

  • What is the data telling us?

  • Where is our next customer coming from?

  • How do we grow the business?

We are looking for someone who wants to do more than maintain an existing Parts operation.

We want a manager who is willing to lead from the front, develop their people, pursue new customers, improve performance, and take ownership of the growth of the department.

What You’ll Bring:
  • Previous automotive dealership Parts experience, ideally in a leadership or management capacity

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold employees accountable

  • A strong sales and business-development mindset with the drive to prospect, follow up, and consistently work toward measurable goals

  • Experience growing sales, developing accounts, or building customer relationships

  • Confidence reaching out to prospective customers, starting conversations, and asking for the business

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both over the phone and in person

  • The ability to handle objections professionally, negotiate effectively, and remain persistent throughout the sales process

  • Strong organization and follow-up habits, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer opportunities

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs, sales trends, financial results, inventory data, and departmental performance

  • A strong understanding of dealership Parts operations, inventory control, and gross-profit management

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, performance-driven dealership environment

  • Experience using dealership management systems, CRM software, customer databases, or other business-development tools

  • Familiarity with PBS as a DMS is preferred

  • Experience developing wholesale or external Parts business is considered a strong asset

  • Toyota or Lexus Parts experience is strongly preferred

  • A genuine growth mindset and willingness to challenge existing processes when better opportunities exist

  • A valid Class 5 driver’s licence

What We'll Bring:

    • A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility and respect.
    • Continuous on-the-job training in the latest automotive technologies
    • RRSP matching and Deferred Profit Sharing.
    • Health and Dental Benefits Package
    • Paid Time Off
    • Great company culture
