We are seeking an experienced, manager-level AI Architect who can lead a team while remaining hands-on in the design and delivery of enterprise AI solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. This role requires a technically savvy leader who can translate business requirements into secure, scalable, production-ready solutions and guide teams from concept through deployment and continuous improvement.

Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise application delivery, or AI solution delivery, including experience leading teams.

  • Proven experience leading teams while also delivering hands-on technical solutions in complex enterprise environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver AI solutions from business requirements, applying best practices for scalability, maintainability, integration, and security.

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing and operating AI solutions using Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Azure AI services (including AI Foundry).

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and support.

  • Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles for AI solutions, including access controls, governance alignment, and risk considerations.

  • Demonstrated ability to architect AI solutions from business requirements and guide teams through implementation using sound technical and design practices.

  • 5+ years of experience leading architecture reviews, establishing technical standards, and ensuring implementation quality across solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance team leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical contribution while leading multiple concurrent workstreams in complex environments.

  • Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.

DESIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of AI security and responsible AI practices, including governance, access controls, and security testing approaches such as red teaming.

  • Experience monitoring and operating AI solutions in production, including telemetry, reliability, performance optimization, and issue resolution at scale.

  • Experience conducting agent regression testing and developing automated test suites for AI agent behavior and tool/function execution.

  • Experience with cloud-native deployment patterns, including CI/CD, integration patterns, and scalable service design.

  • Experience driving continuous improvement of AI solutions using operational insights and feedback from production environments.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. 

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.

ESSENTIAL 

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for the design, development, deployment, and support of AI agents and related solutions.
  • Serve as the hands-on architecture and delivery lead for AI solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, supportable, and secure technical designs.
  • Design and architect agentic AI solutions using Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Azure AI capabilities, applying design best practices, integration patterns, and enterprise standards.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across the full development lifecycle, including discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Develop AI agents and automation solutions, while establishing engineering standards, design reviews, and implementation guidance.
  • Establish secure-by-design approaches for AI agents, including threat modeling, access controls, governance alignment, and security testing such as red teaming during pre-deployment and post-deployment monitoring.
  • Partner with business, security, and platform stakeholders to deliver reliable, governed solutions that meet business needs.
