Job description

Description

Location: Atlanta / Hybrid
Reports to: CEO

Company Description

AllCare is a fast-growing, tech-enabled provider of patient-centered care, built to address a fundamental challenge in healthcare: access. Too often, patients struggle to receive timely, coordinated primary care, leading them into more expensive, fragmented settings and ultimately poorer outcomes.

At our core, our mission is to modernize the healthcare experience with care that is accessible, connected, and human, delivered through an omnichannel model that integrates primary and urgent care-combining digital scheduling, walk-in access, and telehealth into a modern patient experience. Our vision is a future where patients never have to choose between convenience, compassion, and continuity; by bringing these elements together under one model, AllCare is redefining how care is delivered-ensuring patients receive timely access without sacrificing quality relationships or long-term care.

Central to our strategy is a commitment to being technology-forward and AI-enabled. We are investing in platforms and capabilities that not only improve the patient experience, but also power a highly efficient and scalable operating model. This includes leveraging AI and automation to streamline administrative workflows, reduce friction in the back office, and enable our clinical teams to focus more of their time on patient care. The result is a system that delivers both better outcomes and stronger unit economics as we scale.

Currently serving patients across 15 locations in Georgia, AllCare offers a full spectrum of services including preventive care, women's health, and chronic disease management. Our clinical and operating model is intentionally designed to support providers-offering flexible scheduling, strong administrative infrastructure, and a collaborative team environment.

Following an investment by Summit Partners, AllCare is poised for significant growth, with plans to scale from 15 to 50+ locations over the next several years, while staying true to our mission of delivering high-quality, convenient, and human-centered care.

Role Summary

At AllCare, we believe technology is not just infrastructure-it is a core driver of how we deliver on our mission every day. We are building a more modern, connected, and human healthcare experience, and we are looking for a leader who is excited to shape and build that future with us.

We are seeking a VP of Technology to partner directly with the CEO to define and execute AllCare's technology and product vision.

This is a rare opportunity to build a modern, AI-native healthcare platform from the ground up-while also rolling up your sleeves to make it real. You'll operate as both strategist and builder, owning the decisions that determine what we build, what we buy, and how we architect a scalable, differentiated platform.

You are a hands-on technical leader who isn't afraid to go deep-debugging systems, writing code, or designing architecture-while also building and leading a lean, high-performing team over time.

What You'll Own

Shape the Future of Healthcare at AllCare

  • Partner with the CEO to define a clear, ambitious technology and product vision aligned with our mission and long-term vision.
  • Build a roadmap that prioritizes what matters most: patient experience, access, continuity of care, and operational scale.
  • Define how AllCare uses technology, data, and AI to eliminate friction and elevate every patient interaction.

Build an AI-Native, Scalable Technology Platform

  • Architect a modern, scalable, and pragmatic technology stack that supports both patient-facing experiences and back-office operations.
  • Lead critical decisions around build vs. buy, focusing investment where we can create real differentiation.
  • Build out and own AllCare's data platform in partnership with our data vendor: a centralized data warehouse and BI layer that turns clinical, operational, and marketing data into decisions across the business.
  • Build out and own AllCare's mobile app:  HIPAA compliant communication and patient engagement platform
  • Introduce AI-driven workflows, automation, and intelligent systems that improve efficiency, decision-making, and care delivery.
  • Simplify and modernize existing systems to create a more unified, connected experience.

Lead Through Execution (Not Just Strategy)

  • Operate as a true player-coach-comfortable going from boardroom discussions to hands-on technical problem solving.
  • Go hands-on when it matters: prototype, review architecture, and get into the technical details to unblock the team.
  • Set a high bar for speed, quality, ownership, and pragmatism.

Build a High-Impact Team & drive cross functional impact

  • Recruit and develop a small, exceptional technology team that delivers outsized impact, including senior and staff-level engineers as we scale
  • Design an operating model that allows a lean team to move quickly, decisively, and effectively.
  • Work closely with clinical, operations, and business leaders to design systems that actually work in the real world
  • Translate complex needs into simple, scalable solutions that support both patient care and business performance
  • Be a bridge between technology, product, and operations

Oversee IT, Infrastructure & Security

  • Provide leadership oversight of AllCare's core IT and infrastructure environment, ensuring it is reliable, secure, and scalable
  • Manage or oversee a senior IT leader (e.g., Sr. Manager / Associate Director) responsible for day-to-day IT operations
  • Partner with external CISO to ensure strong HIPAA compliance, data security, and risk management practices
  • Set direction and standards while empowering IT leadership to execute effectively day-to-day

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • A strategic technology leader who can partner directly with the CEO and operate as a true member of the executive team
  • Strong technical foundation in software engineering or systems architecture, with continued hands-on capability
  • A builder's mindset: someone who enjoys creating, improving, and scaling systems, not just maintaining them
  • Full-stack fluency, with working knowledge of modern languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Comfort with modern AI tooling and AI-assisted development (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor)
  • Experience building and maintaining data warehousing and BI solutions (e.g., BigQuery or Snowflake; Looker, Sigma, or Power BI)
  • Ability to operate across strategy, architecture, and execution
  • Strong product instincts, with a focus on user experience and workflow design
  • Experience in lean or growth-stage environments
  • Proven ability to make effective build vs. buy decisions
  • Comfortable owning security and compliance posture in a regulated environment (HIPAA, SOC 2), partnering with an external CISO
  • Comfortable overseeing IT and infrastructure through delegation and leadership, with enough fluency to set direction
  • Bachelor's or Master's in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred

  • Healthcare services or health tech experience
  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, Autogen etc.)
  • Experience supporting multi-site or operationally complex environments
