About this Role:
Consertus is seeking a Manager of Projects based out of Houston, TX. This is an on-site, senior leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple large, complex capital projects within an active airport environment. This role leads teams of project managers, coordinates closely with Houston Airport System leadership and consultants, and ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within approved scope, while minimizing operational impacts to airlines, passengers, and airport operations.
This position functions as an extension of HAS staff within the EPM organization and supports projects throughout all phases, from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple $300M+ multi-phase capital projects within the airport portfolio.
  • Direct and mentor a team of project managers in an integrated project delivery environment.
  • Ensure adherence to approved scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and execution challenges.
  • Coordinate with HAS executive leadership, airport operations, airlines, and Program Management Support Services (PMSS) teams.
  • Support negotiation and administration of multi-million-dollar contracts.
  • Drive timely issue resolution and maintain accountability for commitments and outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with senior stakeholders through written and verbal reporting.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (required).
  • 15+ years of experience managing large capital programs and projects.
  • PMI certification required; Program Management certification preferred.
  • Proven experience leading complex, multi-phase projects valued at $300M or greater.
  • Demonstrated success managing teams of project managers.
  • Experience negotiating and managing large construction and professional services contracts.
  • Track record of delivering major capital projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in aviation, transportation, or large-scale infrastructure programs.
  • Experience working within an integrated program management or owner-representative environment.
  • Background supporting projects within active, operational facilities.
