Under the direction of the Manager, Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD), the Senior Learning Architecture Advisor leads the design and evolution of IEHP's enterprise learning architecture. This role shapes holistic learning experiences, defines content governance standards, and ensures scalable, consistent, and innovative solutions aligned with IEHP's strategic and operational priorities.
The Senior Learning Architecture Advisor brings systems thinking, content strategy expertise, and deep adult learning knowledge to design connected, seamless learning journeys across digital and in-person modalities. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure learning solutions are human-centered, measurable, and operationally sustainable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learning Architecture & Content Strategy:
    • Define and lead IEHP's enterprise content strategy for digital and print learning experiences, ensuring alignment with business objectives, learner needs, and educational standards.
    • Design holistic learner journeys that connect programs, platforms, and experiences into a unified ecosystem.
    • Lead development of content flows and journey maps that demonstrate how learners move through IEHP's development pathways.
    • Facilitate consensus-building and content definition across products and learning portfolios.
  • Design & Innovation Leadership:
    • Champion human-centered design principles and establish best practices for collaborative, user-centered workflows.
    • Coach teams in designing hybrid learning experiences (digital and print) that integrate instructional models and macro/micro implementation frameworks.
    • Guide application of adult learning principles including self-directed learning, experiential methods (simulations, role-play, job shadowing), collaborative dialogue, reflective practices, and microlearning strategies.
    • Ensure learning solutions balance usability, scalability, accessibility, and operational feasibility.
  • Enterprise Collaboration & Governance:
    • Partner with the L&OD team and Learning Program Administrator to execute project and program portfolios with governance consistency and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with technical product management and product owners to define requirements for LMS and authoring tool enhancements.
    • Establish frameworks and guidelines to ensure consistent branding, experience design, and governance across all learning initiatives.
  • Program Design & Facilitation:
    • Design and facilitate leadership development workshops, content design sessions, and strategy alignment forums.
    • Guide both macro (enterprise-level) and micro (program-level) content strategy decisions to optimize learning outcomes.
    • Mentor colleagues in information architecture, user flows, and scalable content system design.
  • Measurement, Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
    • Define success metrics for learning architecture initiatives and evaluate effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data.
    • Partner with analytics stakeholders to refine learning journeys based on engagement, performance outcomes, and learner feedback.
    • Stay current on trends in education, design, and technology, translating insights into forward-thinking improvements.
  • Perform any other duties as required to ensure Health Plan operations and department business needs are successful.

Qualifications
Education & Requirements
  • Minimum of seven (7) years in learning and development paired with learning architecture experience and/or learning experience design required
  • Demonstrated expertise consulting with business leaders to diagnose needs and design enterprise-level learning ecosystems
  • Proven success scoping, designing, and implementing high-quality leadership and management development programs across modalities
  • Strong track record of designing team development interventions that improve collaboration and effectiveness
  • Experience leveraging digital learning technologies (LMS platforms, Canva, Mentimeter, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft 365/Teams)
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution required
    • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution preferred
  • Coaching credential paired with practical experience supporting leaders preferred

Key Qualifications
  • Expert comprehensive knowledge of:
    • Designing end-to-end learner journeys that connect platforms, content libraries, coaching, and job-embedded practice
    • Microsoft 365 and Teams environments, including governance, permissions, and content architecture
    • Facilitating topics such as motivational interviewing, MBTI, DISC, or similar assessments preferred.
    • Creating and maintaining templates, style guides, and design patterns to drive consistency
    • When to utilize different aspects of adult learning principles, such as: Self-directed learning (asynchronous), experiential learning (role-play, simulation, job shadowing), Collaborative learning (group discussions, peer mentoring, dialogue), Reflective activities (journaling, self-assessments), microlearning
    • Fluency in LMS capabilities, workflows, and integration requirements
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong skills in learning experience design and instructional models
  • Proven ability to:
    • Prioritize effectively and manage competing priorities
    • Partner cross-functionally with multiple leaders and departments
    • Show comfort in leading through ambiguity and shaping enterprise-wide learning ecosystems
    • Translate complex concepts into clear, learner-friendly solutions
    • Possess strong facilitation abilities for workshops, design sessions, and leadership forums
