Position Overview

The Principal Organized Customer Engagement Training Director is a strategic commercial enablement leader responsible for advancing the effectiveness and consistency of Account Management teams supporting organized customers, including national accounts, health systems, prospective organized customers, and payer-aligned partners. This role leads the end-to-end training strategy for account management teams from onboarding through advanced enterprise engagement. The Principal Organized Customer Engagement Training Director designs and delivers measurable, blended learning solutions that equip teams to navigate complex healthcare environments, deliver value-driven conversations, and support enterprise growth.

This is a Madison, WI based position. Relocation assistance may be provided if needed.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

Account Management Learning Strategy

  • Lead the design, development, and evolution of a comprehensive training strategy supporting account management roles aligned to current and future business needs.
  • Translate strategy, healthcare policy dynamics, and organized customer models into clear, actionable learning experiences that drive field execution.
  • Build and maintain a competency-based curriculum spanning the full employee lifecycle ("hire to retire"), from foundational account management capabilities to advanced enterprise engagement.

Curriculum Development & Delivery

  • Partner across Commercial Performance & Training (CPT) and cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic learning journey, integrating:
    • Strategy and program fundamentals
    • Product and clinical context
    • Account management and enterprise selling skills
    • Customer engagement, analytics, and business acumen
  • Deliver training directly when appropriate and enable scalable delivery through facilitators, digital platforms, and blended learning modalities.

Measurement, Impact & Continuous Improvement

  • Define annual training requirements and success metrics aligned to adoption, account performance, and execution quality.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using performance data, learner feedback, and business outcomes to ensure sustained impact.
  • Continuously refine content, tools, and methods to reflect evolving priorities, customer needs, and market dynamics.

Stakeholder Partnership & Influence

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to Account Management leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Medical, Analytics, and other partners to ensure alignment, reinforcement, and consistency of messaging and capabilities.
  • Assess, select, and manage external vendors and consultants to incorporate best practices and extend training capacity where appropriate.

Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Lead high-visibility, complex initiatives with strong project management discipline, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Manage elevated projects of increased scope, complexity, or urgency tied to business unit and organized customer initiatives.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of working time away from work location; may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in account management, sales, sales training, or commercial enablement roles.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem (e.g., business unit programs, health systems, payer dynamics, organized customer environments, etc.).
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse and senior-level audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training technologies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate program effectiveness and translate insights into action.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or professional certification in training, leadership development, organizational development, or a related discipline.

Salary Range:

$136,000.00 - $232,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
