OVERVIEW: Ab E Manufacturing (AbEM) operates a 25,000-square-foot commercial facility and pilot-scale lab in Waterloo, WI, specializing in process development and manufacturing of chemical & bio-functional products for human/animal health and nutrition.DESCRIPTION: Ab E Manufacturing employs a Director of Organization Development to capture, organize, and translate the knowledge used to operate the business into clear, repeatable processes, documentation, training, and supporting systems, in the context of a well-managed business enterprise. The role works across all functional areas to help subject matter experts define how work should be performed and to make that knowledge accessible to the people responsible for execution. Functional leaders retain ownership of their processes, requirements, decisions, and results. This position reports to the Executive Director.QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated experience in instructional design, organizational development, process documentation, learning and development, operations improvement, or a related discipline.Experience eliciting tacit knowledge from subject matter experts and converting it into clear process maps, standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, and training materials.Experience implementing or administering a Learning Management System and other organizational or operational systems.Working knowledge of adult learning, competency management, process mapping, document design, and change implementation.Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and project management skills.Ability to work across functional boundaries and influence without direct authority.High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize complex information.Manufacturing experience preferred; food, feed, or another regulated industry preferred.Ability to work independently, under minimal direction from the Executive Director.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities and job duties include, but are not limited to:Advocate for safety of self and others at all times.Capture tacit knowledge and convert it into clear, usable, and maintainable organizational knowledge.Facilitate process discovery and process-mapping sessions with functional leaders and employees who perform the work.Develop and maintain Company standards, templates, and methods for process maps, standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, visual controls, and related process documentation.Draft and maintain process documentation in partnership with functional leaders, who retain responsibility for technical accuracy, approval, execution, and results within their areas.Design and maintain role-based onboarding, learning pathways, qualification requirements, and competency-assessment methods based on requirements established by functional leaders.Develop training materials and learning experiences that translate approved processes into effective employee performance.Administer the learning management system and other assigned organizational systems, including configuration support, user access, workflow administration, reporting, and user assistance.Partner with each functional leader to ensure assigned systems support the underlying process without transferring ownership of operational, engineering, warehouse, quality, or regulatory decisions to Organizational Development.Maintain an organized repository of approved process knowledge and coordinate periodic review with the functional owner.Support implementation of process changes by updating documentation, training, system workflows, and competency requirements after changes are approved by the responsible leader.Develop and maintain reporting tools that provide leaders with visibility into training completion, competency status, document currency, process adoption, and organizational knowledge risks.Identify gaps in process documentation, training, or knowledge transfer and bring them to the responsible functional leader and Executive Director for prioritization.Other duties, as assigned.BENEFITS:Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance for employee and immediate family.Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and Floating Holidays.LOCATION: This is a full-time position, and requires the candidate to be on site in Waterloo, WI.
