Job description

Project Manager โ€“ Learning & Development

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid โ€“ 4 days onsite)

Duration: Approximately 3 months (extension possible)

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead medium to high complexity Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives. This role is responsible for managing project delivery from planning through execution, ensuring learning solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while engaging a broad range of business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Learning & Development projects using project management best practices.
  • Develop project plans, manage timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate with business partners, learning teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver learning solutions.
  • Support the implementation of instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning programs.
  • Facilitate project governance, status reporting, stakeholder communications, and project retrospectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by applying Agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience delivering medium to large projects.
  • Hands-on experience managing Learning & Development or corporate training initiatives.
  • Experience within banking, financial services, or insurance environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • PMP and/or Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Program management experience.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS/LXP).
  • Familiarity with eLearning development tools or standards (e.g., Articulate Storyline, SCORM, xAPI).
