Job Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Location: Newark, NJ 07102 (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months
Hours: 21-28 hours per week
Job Overview
Our client, a professional licensing board responsible for overseeing and regulating the practice of social work in New Jersey, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join their team on a part-time, onsite engagement. The selected candidate will play a critical role in reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on treatment records, consumer complaints, and disciplinary matters related to licensed social work professionals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate complaints and reports against licensed and certified social workers to determine compliance with minimum care requirements and practice standards
  • Collaborate with administrative, investigative, and legal staff during the initial review and evaluation of all complaints and reports
  • Prepare written summaries and recommendations related to consumer complaints, malpractice reports, incompetency reports, and unprofessional conduct reports
  • Coordinate and assist in the information-gathering process, including identifying documents needed for formal investigations and preparing written case descriptions, treatment summaries, and evaluations of allegations
  • Prepare questions for investigative inquiries and formal hearings related to social worker complaints and adverse actions
Required Skills
  • Active, valid, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in New Jersey - mandatory throughout the duration of the engagement
  • Strong computer literacy and excellent written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work with DCA-issued equipment and databases
Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience in regulatory review, licensing board support, or social work compliance
  • Experience drafting case summaries and investigative reports
Location & Work Model
Fully onsite at 124 Halsey St, 6th Floor, Newark, NJ 07102. Daily parking is provided. Equipment (laptop) will be issued by the client.
Engagement Details
This is a 6-month contract engagement. Interview mode is virtual. Hours are part-time, estimated at 21-28 hours per week.
