Job Description:

Understands system-wide data sources to act as the measurement resource for reporting. Creates and generates technical reports following a defined process to meet the needs of the business unit. Serves as data subject matter expert with content, workflows and procedures to meet customer needs.
Collaborates with system-wide leaders to develop and validate methods, techniques and analytical approaches. Recognizes and anticipates business trends, interpreting their impact on processes and system-wide reporting systems.
Manages people managers and individual contributors.
Principle Responsibilities

  • Customer management and support
    • Provides end user support which may involve on-call work outside regular business hours.
    • Establishes and updates as needed the processes for request management, incident management, change management and release management.
    • Participates in stakeholder and user group meetings as needed.
    • Functions as technical reporting resource for business, escalating issues and problems to application support team, IT administrators, vendor, and/or management.
  • BI Tool Development
    • Develops report guidelines by defining parameters of information, testing and documentation.
    • Proficiency in all of the BI tools supported by the department.
    • Documents business requirements, receive validation and sign-off from stakeholders.
    • Manages requirement conflicts, build test reports and test those reports for accuracy.
  • Project management
    • Responsible for project management for large-sized projects and management of data delivery.
    • Responsible for leading improvement projects.
    • Creates and maintains documented department policies and procedures.
    • Manages multiple projects with varying timeframes.
  • People Management
    • Manages other people managers within the department.
    • Provides regular performance feedback and coaching.
    • Responsible for hiring and retaining employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • 7+ years experience in data analysis, reporting and/or business intelligence. Advanced knowledge of business tools for creation and display of data. Experience using standardized database structures


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business or healthcare related field
  • Master's degree in informatics or healthcare related field
  • 3+ years management experience

Pay Range

Pay Range: $63.54 to $87.91 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
