Job description

Description:

We are HALO! We connect people and brands to create unforgettable, meaningful, and lasting experiences that build brand-negative and loyalty for our over 60,000 clients globally. With over 2000 employees, 1,100 Account Executives and 40+ sales offices across the United States, HALO is the global leader of our $25B industry.

The Supplier Marketing and Promotion Specialist is responsible for converting supplier and category selling solutions into seller- and client-ready marketing and promotion opportunities, centralizing supplier promotions into a single execution role that reduces seller noise and accelerates time-to-market for HALO’s packaged solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate supplier and category strategies into integrated promotion plans (collections, campaigns, spotlights, and sales tools) that are easy for Account Executives to activate with clients.
  • Build and maintain annual and quarterly supplier promotion calendars across traditional promo and non-traditional categories (POD, POS, premium/recognition, uniforms, internal production, etc.) in partnership with Marketing, Merchandising, and Seller Solutions.
  • Package supplier offerings into AE-ready tools, including digital flyers, curated assortments, kit concepts, store assortments, and training content, ensuring alignment with HALO brand standards and positioning as a brand experience partner rather than a commodity merch vendor.
  • Manage the intake, prioritization, and execution of supplier-funded promotions (MDF/co-op, incentives, limited-time offers), ensuring they support preferred supplier strategies, margin targets, and Supplier Optimization initiatives (e.g., waived setup fees, decorator consolidation).
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution of promotions:
    • Brief Marketing and Creative on campaign objectives, audiences, and required assets.
    • Align with Merchandising and Supplier Relations on product selection, pricing, and SKU readiness.
  • Partner with Operations/IT to ensure systems, stores, and fulfillment are configured for smooth execution
  • Develop clear AE-facing enablement (launch notes, talking points, FAQs, and short training sessions) to drive adoption of supplier promotions and minimize support friction.
  • Track and report promotion performance (supplier participation, sales lift, margin impact, AE engagement) and share insights with Supplier Strategy, Supplier Optimization, Finance, and Commercial leadership to inform future plans.
  • Ensure supplier promotions reflect HALO’s sustainability and ESG commitments where applicable (e.g., use of preferred and diverse suppliers, promotion of sustainable product lines, support for ESG reporting needs).
  • Maintain strong relationships with key promotional and non-traditional suppliers, serving as a point of coordination on promotion opportunities, content needs, and event-related exposure (Brand Shows, industry events, etc.).
  • Support HALO events and seller meetings as needed, including preparation of supplier promotion content for Brand Shows, sales meetings, and virtual trainings.
  • Update and maintain promotion documentation, calendars, and related content in designated systems and shared repositories.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in promotional products, trade marketing, supplier relations, category management, or a related B2B distribution environment.
  • Experience coordinating multi-supplier or multi-brand promotions and translating supplier programs into seller-facing tools is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the promotional products industry, supplier economics, and margin levers (e.g., rebates, setup fees, freight, decoration) and how they connect to HALO’s Supplier Optimization initiatives.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent promotions, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Supplier Relations, Seller Solutions, Operations, Finance, and IT in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex supplier/category offerings into clear AE- and client-ready value propositions.
  • Comfortable using data and reporting (Excel and related tools) to evaluate promotion performance, profitability, and supplier impact.
  • High attention to detail, excellent organization and time management, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and short deadlines in a growth-focused environment.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and proactive; able to influence without direct authority and advocate for both supplier and seller needs while maintaining HALO’s strategic priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Compensation: The estimated salary range for this position is between $58,000 - $80,000 annually. Please note that this pay range serves as a general guideline and reflects a broad spectrum of labor markets across the US. At HALO, these include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, location, education and training, key skills, internal equity, external market data, and broader market and business considerations.
