Job description

M&K Truck Centers of Harrisburg is seeking a motivated, experienced Outside Sales Representative to lead the sales efforts for KME Fire Apparatus within an assigned territory. This role combines traditional outside truck sales with a specialized focus on serving fire departments and emergency services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building long-term client relationships, and is driven to exceed sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for all KME fire apparatus sales in the assigned territory, including regional accounts, house accounts, and local fire departments.

  • Develop and pursue new business opportunities to grow overall sales volume and profitability.

  • Conduct in-person customer sales calls and product demonstrations — both during standard business hours and at evening/weekend meetings (common with volunteer fire departments).

  • Promote KME Fire Apparatus through flyers, product displays, and community engagement.
    Write accurate sales contracts and customer orders in accordance with company policies.

  • Listen to and resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Achieve assigned sales and profitability goals.

  • Maintain account standards and provide exceptional post-sale customer service.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to the sales process.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of direct sales experience required; outside sales experience strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience selling fire apparatus is a plus.

  • Experience using various computer software and CRM tools is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Comfortable with flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Proficient in preparing sales contracts and understanding credit terms.
