Job description

The City of St Clair Shores, a waterfront community of approximately 60,000 residents, is currently accepting applications for Fire Chief.
The City is seeking an innovative, self-motivated professional who will be directly responsible for managing operations for a department of 50, with three fire stations. This position will serve as part of the senior management of the City and reports directly to the City Manager.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Fire Administration, Public Administration, Fire Science, or equivalent professional area
State of Michigan Fire Officer III Certification or Equivalent
Paramedic Certification with experience in Fire Based ALS transport
Command Level Experience of 5 years or more
The starting salary range is $102,397 to $120,468 annually/DOQ. The City provides a full complement of benefits including paid vacation, paid holidays, personal days, and sick time. Additional benefits include medical, optical, dental, and life insurance and an excellent 401A Defined Contribution Plan.
