Job description

The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations related to the receipt, storage, and inventory control of raw materials and packaging components used at the plant. This position is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted production through accurate inventory management, compliance with food safety regulations, and efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, warehouse management experience within a food manufacturing environment, and a thorough understanding of GMPs, SQF requirements, and inventory control systems.

Warehouse Operations

- Manage all daily warehouse operations involving raw materials and packaging supplies.

- Ensure timely receiving, inspection, storage, staging, and issuance of materials to production.

- Develop and maintain warehouse procedures that maximize efficiency and accuracy.

- Optimize warehouse layout for product flow, space utilization, and operational efficiency.

- Coordinate material availability to support production schedules.

Inventory Management

- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories.

- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.

- Ensure FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation is consistently followed.

- Work closely with Procurement to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Food Safety & Quality

Requirements

-        Bachelor's Degree preferred

-        High School Diploma or GED required

-        Minimum 5 years of warehouse management experience in food manufacturing.

-        Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

-        Experience working in SQF, BRC, or GFSI-certified facilities preferred.

-        Strong knowledge of inventory control and Warehouse Management Systems and FIFO Inventory Practices

-        Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
