Health and Beauty Manager

$26-34/hr based on experience

What You Will Do:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints; lead by example.
  • Manage Nutrition department inventories by tracking weekly sales reports and orders product and supplies so as to meet customer requirements and the company's gross profit goals.
  • Work with Store Manager on hiring, evaluation and overall supervision of department personnel.
  • Develop and implement localized merchandising plan for the department, set up and create displays for new and seasonal items.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ordering to prevent losses that result from produce that spoils before it can be sold.
  • Schedule Nutrition Department employees, oversee and assist with their training, reward and recognize their performance and delegate their work assignments so as to most effectively.
  • Control department expenses by improving operations and efficiencies, by controlling labor costs and by reducing losses due to shrinkage and pilferage.
  • Keep updated on special merchandise needs that arise for holidays, as well as market trends in health and beauty.
  • Follow established departmental procedures for receiving merchandise including inspecting the product when delivered, pricing the product and restocking cases to insure freshness and quality, accuracy and product rotation.
  • Maintain effective housekeeping program.
  • Other related duties as assigned by upper management. 
What You Will Bring:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Nutrition / Health and Beauty Department Management, or Vitamin / Supplement Sales Management.
