Produce Assistant Manager

$23-28/hr based on experience

What You Will Do:
  • Support the Produce Manager by delivering excellent customer service and assisting customers with inquiries or concerns.
  • Assist with inventory management by tracking sales trends and supporting accurate ordering to meet customer demand and gross profit goals.
  • Help execute localized merchandising plans and assist in building displays for new, seasonal, and promotional items.
  • Support timely and accurate ordering to reduce spoilage, shrink, and inventory loss.
  • Assist with employee scheduling, training, coaching, and daily task delegation to ensure smooth department operations.
  • Help manage department expenses by supporting efficiency initiatives, labor controls, and shrink reduction efforts.
  • Stay informed on seasonal produce needs, holiday planning, and food trends to better support department operations.
  • Follow established procedures for receiving merchandise, including inspecting deliveries, pricing, restocking, and proper product rotation.
  • Support department cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards through consistent housekeeping practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in produce, grocery, or inventory management.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
