Job description

Joining Total Organics Recycling as a Warehouse Associate means stepping into a pivotal role within our composting operations. You'll be instrumental in preparing expired food for transport to our various composting facilities. This hands-on work is both challenging and dirty yet offering you the chance to thrive in a dynamic environment which contributes to a greener and cleaner future. Each day, you'll tackle a significant workload, witnessing firsthand the impact of your work as you ensure the efficient processing of raw materials. With the autonomy to work independently, you'll manage tasks such as power washing containers, operating forklifts, and overseeing organic waste. Your dedication at Total Organics Recycling plays a crucial part in our mission toward environmental stewardship, making every day a fulfilling step toward sustainable practices and community impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Power Washing: Perform regular and thorough cleaning of equipment, containers, and work areas to maintain hygiene standards and ensure the quality of compost production.
  • Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other machinery to transport expired food and compost materials within the facility.
  • Handling Expired Food: Manage and process expired food products, ensuring they are properly sorted and prepared for composting.
  • General Warehouse Tasks: Assist with loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in warehouse operations or similar environment preferred.
