Job description

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Project Manager with proven General Contractor experience to lead ground-up and tenant improvement (TI) projects across Santa Clarita and the greater Los Angeles area.

This role requires full ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and client coordination. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing commercial construction projects in Southern California and can operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Lead subcontractor bidding, scope leveling, and buyout process
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with Santa Clarita / Los Angeles County building codes, permitting, and safety regulations
  • Monitor project costs and proactively identify risks or delays
  • Lead OAC meetings and maintain strong client communication
  • Manage project closeout, punch lists, and final turnover

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience with a General Contractor
  • Proven experience managing commercial ground-up and/or tenant improvement (TI) projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Santa Clarita / LA County permitting processes preferred
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
