Job description

Job purpose
This is an opportunity for a high energy, dynamic and persistent professional Talent Acquisition Specialist. This person will build our highly successful sales force through networking, search-and-find platforms, career fairs and other methods that lands top sales talent for the World's Largest Furniture Store.
Essential Functions and responsibilities

  1. Partner with executive sales leadership to establish recruitment needs based on market demands and forecasted sales.
  2. Collaborate with Universities and Colleges to attract students into the furniture sales industry
  3. Utilize applicant mining expertise to aggressively source and secure high-quality sales candidates.
  4. Create and deliver a world class welcoming experience for prospective candidates. This includes but is not limited to providing tours for interview applicants, college interest groups, and local design community.
  5. Participate in local networking events, career fairs, interest groups, and other opportunities with the focus of building the sales candidate pipeline.
  6. Conduct and/or facilitate all candidate interviews with sales management team. Arrange management interviews schedules for all candidates.
  7. Provide ongoing support to sales personnel through regular meetings focused on celebrating team wins, retention, and overall employee experience.
  8. Regularly attends sales and human resources meetings as well as educational opportunities to stay abreast of best hiring practices.
  9. Assists other departments with screening applicants as needed.
  10. Serve as an HR resource and support for all departments in matters unrelated to recruiting
  11. Knowledge share with colleagues to create hiring best practices
  12. Utilize and maximize social media platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter to promote career opportunities and benefits of working at Furnitureland South
  13. Continually access and provide reports of hiring needs, turnover, and cost of recruiting.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

Working conditions
This is an onsite job that operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This job may require extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting. This would require the ability to lift product, open and close product, or carry small items weighing up to 15 lbs.
Required Education and Experience
  1. An Associate's degree from an accredited University and two to three years of recruiting experience in cold calling and resume mining required, interviewing skills, people skills, supports diversity, employment law, results driven, professionalism, strong computer skills and good judgement.
  2. Proven track record in candidate placement, preferably in Sales careers

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. PHR or accredited HR Certification
  3. Three to five years of sales recruiting experience.
