Job description

Records Management Specialist

Assistance Plus is seeking a Records Management Specialist to join our growing Quality Assurance Department. The Records Management Specialist will audit client records in accordance with MaineCare, Licensing, HIPAA, all other applicable regulatory bodies for compliance, and all internal agency policies. The Records Management Specialist will have general knowledge of each service offered at Assistance Plus and a general understanding of auditing processes. This position will have day-to-day responsibilities for completing internal programmatic audits, reviewing documentation for accuracy, scanning, coding, verifying, and client record disclosures.

This is a full time position (40 hours per week) located at our Benton Office.

Qualifications
  • Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver's license are required
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's Degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Minimum of two years of experience/knowledge of behavioral health services is required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • High level of attention to detail
