Management consulting is the practice of providing companies or organizations with advice on ways to improve the performance of a single department or the organization as a whole. As a management consultant, your duties are to analyze an organization’s current performance goals, efficiency, and worker contributions and then identify strategies that can improve performance metrics, such as productivity, efficiency, cost savings, and sales growth or realign corporate culture to increase transparency of expectations. Strategies may include incentivizing workers with bonuses, finding ways to reduce cost overruns, or improving communication between management and workers.
