Maintenance Responsibilities

Support the preventative maintenance and repair of Center facilities and grounds . Performs routine maintenance and inspections of Center facilities and systems to ensure proper functionality and prevent disruptions to student and staff services.

Maintenance Documentation & Oversight
Completes, tracks, and documents work status accurately and promptly, notifying the supervisor of any issues or concerns identified during maintenance or transportation activities .

Student Supervision & Development
May supervise Job Corps Work-Based Learning students to enhance employability skills and provide industry-relevant, hands-on training ‍‍. May also supervise Work-Based Learning and Leisure Time Student Workers assigned to the department.

Student Transportation Services
Provides timely and efficient student transportation services as required . Maintains all required vehicle documentation in accordance with Department of Labor and Company requirements .

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
Schedules and delivers vehicles for preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary . Conducts regular vehicle inspections and reports safety issues or concerns to the supervisor to ensure compliance and safe operation .

Work Quality & Productivity
Produces high-quality work and assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner. Maintains appropriate attendance, accountability, and productivity standards .

Organization & Time Management

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Advanced education or certifications preferred
  • Previous experience working with youth preferred
  • Previous experience in OSHA-regulated environments, HVAC, or manufacturing industries preferred
  • Valid in-state driver’s license required
  • Must meet company insurability requirements

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, stoop, and crouch as required
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to assess lifting requirements and request assistance when needed to ensure safe work practices
