Maintenance Helper
Department: Manufacturing & Distribution - General Labor
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Columbia, PA - Plant
Compensation: $20.09 / hour
Description
As a Maintenance Helper at Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation, you will have the opportunity to assist in keeping the foundry safe and running smoothly. You could be shoveling sand, sweeping and cleaning designated areas, operating a forklift, and more!
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Helper team member, you may be assigned to any of the following functions as needed per production and staffing needs:
  • Shovels sand from pits using flat edge shovel
  • Sweeps and cleans designated areas
  • Uses push broom, sweeping dust and debris from assigned areas and discard into waste receptacle
  • Removal of waste sandbags from designated areas
  • Operation of forklift after obtaining certification, operate forklift to transport waste and product
  • Ability to take direction from supervisor; understanding temperatures controls; assisting with the cleaning/maintaining furnaces ladles

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Requires standing up to 10 hours per day
  • Repetitive use of both hands and feet up to 10 hours per day
  • Constant awareness of surroundings
  • Requires some pushing/pulling/lifting (up to 50 lbs)
