Job description

Position Title: Site Maintenance Crew Lead
Division: Operations
Reports To: Maintenance Foreman
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Schedule: MCL
Work Days: 244

Essential Duties:
  • Provide direction to assigned Site Maintenance Technicians and accurately complete all assigned work in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Promote good relations and display a positive image with customers, the public, and peers.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork as required.
  • Provide feedback to Facilities and Maintenance Director in the event of any Site Maintenance Technician performance issues.
  • Maintain the proper parts inventory on the district vehicle to meet the majority of assigned maintenance work requests.
  • Take proper care of, and maintain, district vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position, as well as to ensure maximum usage.
  • Plan, stage, and complete the cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and installation of all types of equipment assigned to the trade.
  • Initiate and complete assigned projects in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Immediately report any issues that may have an impact on school or employee safety.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess the qualifications required to hold Crew Lead classification.
  • High school diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE).
  • Must hold a valid State of Georgia driver's license with no more than eight (8) points against the license over the last seven (7) years.
  • Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
  • Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
  • Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
  • Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, stooping, reaching, crawling, kneeling, and climbing (stairs, lifts, and ladders).
  • Ability to perform routine physical activities including, but not limited to, repetitive motion, bending, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 75 pounds, and heavier weights with assistance.
  • Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
