Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Location: Roswell, Georgia

Horseshoe Bend Country Club located in Roswell, GA seeks a Full Time Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team!  This position will oversee all building maintenance aspects of the country club. Must have working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, refrigeration.  Horseshoe Bend Country Club is a private and prestigious 18-hole golf and country club that includes a 37,000 square ft Clubhouse, separate Athletic Center with three swimming pools, 13 full sized tennis courts and 3 pickleball courts.

Job Summary

This position serves as an assistant to the Facilities Manager. The Facilities Manager oversees two separate Golf Clubs.  The Facilities Maintenance Assistant is responsible for carrying out day-to-day facility maintenance and repairs around the Club.

Job Tasks (including but not limited to)

  1. Maintain preventative maintenance program for all equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedules. 
  2. Completes Work Order Requests as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
  3. Operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality. Goal is to make repairs internally before calling an outside vendor. 
  4. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the main Clubhouse, Tennis and Swim Clubhouse, and associated areas.  Including but not limited to: HVAC, fire alarm systems, sewer lines, kitchen appliances, etc.
  5. A strong focus on the day-to-day upkeep of the overall aesthetic and appearance of the facilities (painting, cleaning vents and equipment, replacing lights, etc.)
  6. Uses Club Paint Codes to complete repairs and repaint walls, trim, doors as needed. 
  7. Uses Club Lighting Schedule to complete related repairs and maintenance.
  8. Completes all paperwork on a daily basis and files it digitally when possible.
  9. Follow all club, equipment, and material safety standards at all times.
  10. Displays a sense of urgency with all tasks, reports back to Facilities Manager in a timely manner of the project status and completion.
  11. Keeps the workshop area safe, clean, and well lit.
  12. Possesses knowledge of role during emergency situations and is aware of fire and life procedures.
  13. Understands and complies with all policies set forth in the Club Employee Guide and Handbook.
  14. Completes other special projects and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 2 years facility maintenance or repair experience, preferred.
  • A basic knowledge of the following trades is required: H.V.A.C., plumbing, electrical, and construction.
  • H.V.A.C. Experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities Required:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional sitting
  • Frequent lifting, bending climbing, stooping, pulling.
  • Continuous standing, walking
