Job description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs ongoing facility maintenance and completes repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment. Their duties include general landscaping, fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards, and identifying, planning, and scheduling major repairs.

Starting Pay $27-$30

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Escalate and submit work orders to 3rd party contractors as needed
  • General upkeep and minor repairs
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair broken assets.
  • Keep hand tools, power tools, and supplies organized and clean.
  • Hang Signage as required
  • Paints and stains indoors and outdoors as necessary.
  • Shovels and plows snow, and salts sidewalks and parking lots.
  • Maintains building systems and keeps the DC in good working order.
  • Maintain accurate records of performed maintenance tasks.
  • Follow safety precautions and adhere to the set schedule.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Experienced in operating various equipment, including scissors lifts, forklifts, and small hand tools.
