Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of mainframe hardware and software lifecycle management initiatives
  • Manage teams supporting multiple z/OS mainframe environments
  • Provide technical leadership across core mainframe technologies including JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, source code management, and SDLC practices
  • Oversee security mechanisms such as RACF, ACF2, and TSS
  • Drive modernization, automation, and continuous improvement of mainframe services
  • Partner with data center services, production services, and application development teams to support enterprise initiatives
  • Lead and develop managers and technical staff through coaching, mentoring, and talent development practices
  • Guide cross?functional efforts and complex programs to successful outcomes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 6-10 years of relevant infrastructure or systems engineering experience
  • 10+ years of diverse IT experience preferred; financial services experience is a plus
  • Strong experience in mainframe infrastructure, system programming, or mainframe application development
  • Direct hands-on mainframe experience is required
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across technical and business stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem?solving capabilities

Technical Skills (Preferred)

  • z/OS, PARMLIB, UNIX System Services, HCD
  • SMP/E and maintenance routines
  • JCL, IPL processes, ISPF/TSO
  • Installation and support of IBM operating systems and ISV software
  • ITSM / ITIL practices including Release and Change Management

Experience building and sustaining enterprise mainframe platforms.
