Mailroom Clerk (Contract)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Onsite)
Client: American National Red Cross
Pay: ~$19/hour
Duration: April 2026 – July 2026
Shift: 1st Shift (Daytime, EST)


Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Mailroom Clerk to support daily mail operations, including sorting, distributing, and processing incoming/outgoing mail and packages. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills.


Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Prepare outgoing shipments (USPS, FedEx, UPS)
  • Track/log deliveries and certified mail
  • Maintain mailroom supplies and equipment
  • Assist staff with shipping requests

Driving Duties
  • Daily local mail pickup/drop (8–10 miles) using personal vehicle
  • Mileage reimbursement provided

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year clerical/mailroom/admin experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Valid driver’s license + personal vehicle
