We’re hiring a hands-on Machine Shop Supervisor to lead first‑shift operations, supporting 10–15 team members across two shifts. This role is built for a leader who stays grounded in the middle of chaos, leads from the floor, and believes strong teams are built through presence, clarity, and accountability.
What You’ll Own
- Daily execution of machine shop operations with a visible, consistent floor presence
- Short‑term planning and real‑time adjustment using work orders and routings
- Team performance across safety, quality, delivery, and morale
- Coaching, development, and accountability conversations — handled directly and professionally
- Calm, solution‑focused leadership when plans change or pressure rises
- Ownership of problems through closure — not hand‑offs

Qualifications
- 5+ years supervising in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
- Manual machining background strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead through pressure, ambiguity, and shifting priorities
- Experience working with structured work orders and routings
- Direct, professional, and consistent leadership style
- Comfortable holding standards while supporting your team
