Job description

Job Summary:

A Machine Operator ensures that the final product aligns with the company's quality standards which includes the reliability, usability and performance of the product. In general, these meticulous professionals are accountable for using tools to perform hourly checks to ensure quality standards are met and the equipment is running accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety! Maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping.

  • Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation duties

  • Efficiently supervise production equipment

  • Make adjustments to machinery when vital to improve performance and quality

  • Troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment

  • Perform quality control checks, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

Education & Certificates

  • High school education, or equivalency is desired

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge and experience with micrometers, pie tape and ovality gauges are a plus

  • Previous Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Proficiencies:

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Team-working skills

  • Working independently

  • Multitasking skills

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions

  • Capability of working 12-hour shifts

  • Ability to stand, bend and perform repetitive task

Key relationships:

  • Regular communication with shift personnel and supervisor.

Working conditions:

Safety First! Employee must wear protective eyewear, appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, and/or other.

Employee are required to perform a considerable level of specific task such as prolonged standing on concrete, muscular action, body movements, working positions and visual attentiveness. Employee may be exposed to a moderate level of hazards, such as moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/bucket lift/other. Work will be in a non-controlled temperature environment with occasion work around loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Employee may experience progressive degrees of factors in the work process which may cause mental tension or anxiety.

Shift Hours

  • 12 Hour Nights- 9pm-9am

  • 12 Hour Day Shift- 9am to 9pm
